Al-Mahmoud has long professional experience, as he worked as a criminal and administrative investigation officer in the security apparatus for twenty years, a former member of the Military Appellate Disciplinary Committee, served as the head of the Military Primary Disciplinary Council, and previously worked as a legal expert at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and was appointed by a decision of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary as a member of the Lawyers Disciplinary Council.
Al-Mahmoud holds a Bachelor of Laws with honors, and a Higher Diploma in Military Science in 2002 from the Dubai Police Academy with a very good grade with honors, and has participated in many legal courses and seminars at the local and international levels, and is currently a Master's Researcher enrolled in the International Criminal Justice Program specializing in Anti-Corruption from Lusail University
